Delegation of six congressmen from the United States pays official visit to Georgia. The delegation is chaired by Republican congressman Bill Shuster from Pennsylvania. - "Rustavi2"

The congressmen held their first meeting with the representatives of opposition parties. The sides discussed current political situation in Georgia, pre-election environment and processes. Bilateral relations were also in the focus of the opposition leaders and the American lawmakers.

Within the visit, the delegation of congressmen will meet with president Saakashvili and other senior authorities. They will also observe the joint training of Georgian and American soldiers, who are preparing for ISAF mission.
