Heavy rain has inflicted serious damage on Tkibuli town, west of Georgia last night. The swollen river and downpour flooded central street of the city blocking up traffic for a few hours. The rain has also flooded the yards of several houses. - "Rustavi2"

Intensive precipitation has caused problems in the surrounding villages too. The swollen river Chala swept a temporary bridge, cutting connection with between Tkibuli and Kutaisi. Currently, the passengers have to use alternative route via Terjola town.

Rescuers and the representatives of local governments were working all night long to clean up roads to the town.
