Iberia TV owners were offered to pay 3 millions to Bidzina Ivanishvili’s circles - Rustavi2 releases new recording

Courier news program broadcast on Rustavi2 TV Channel has aired yet another scandalous secret audio recording regarding the case of Iberia TV. The recording allegedly includes the conversation with the owners of Iberia TV, where they are proposed to pay three millions to the circles of Bidzina Ivanishvili.

According to Rustavi2, in the recording of the conversation, which was handed over to the TV Company by a reliably source, the speakers voice the names of Anzor Chubinidze, the head of the Special State Protection Service of Georgia and the former minister of finance of Georgia, Dimitri Kumsishvili.

The speaker in the new recording are Levan Kipiani, the member of the supervisory board of the Georgian Railway LLC and Zaza Okuashvili, the founder of Omega Group. The dialogue makes it clear that Kipiani is contacting Okuashvili to introduce the pack of offer to Zaza Okuashvili on behalf of authorities.

Levan Kipiani, mentions the name of Anzor Chubinidze, former chief of Bidzina Ivanishvili’s security service and currently the head of the Special State Protection Service of Georgia, saying “he is their supporter”. He also mentions former vice prime minister Dimitri Kumsishvili.

In the recording, Kipiani and Okuashvili talk about three millions, part of which should be transferred to the state budget and the rest, should be paid as the “contribution” by Omega Group:

Levan Kipiani: “so, I have told you they have engaged Anzor in this, Anzor was the chief of Bidzina’s security, one of non-authorized securities… he has the authority actually, he is one of the leading figures and this guy says, he repeated it again “if I wanted to stop them, their factory would be closed by now, but it is the matter of principle… there is a new prime minister, lack of confidence with the company and there are some traces of …tails…tails of Kumsishvili… this situation is such a mess in terms of confidence… I told them the reason of my interference was to restore confidence, actually. A million should be paid to the budget”.

Zaza Okuashvili: “One million and two millions and a half in total”.

Levan Kipiani: “Yes”.

Zaza Okuashvili: “but three millions and a half is still left as a contribution. What is this contribution?”

Levan Kipiani: “We must distribute money…it is about money… for Anzora, he is my friend and…”

Zaza Okuashvili: “Who is this Anzor, so the chief of Ivanishvili’s security?”

Levan Kipiani: “The guy who is rooting for us… he was the chief of security, was… he is the chief of state protection service now… he is in charge of security in airports and others like this… he is the minister actually.”

Zaza Okuashvili: “He is the minister”.

Levan Kipiani: “whole state protection systems are in his hands”.

It should be noted that this is the third scandalous audio recording released by media during past few days, which is related to the developments around Iberia TV and which includes dialogues between Zaza Okuashvili and Levan Kipiani.
