Lasha Tordia urges Otar Partskhaladze to pass alcohol test together

The head of the State Audit Office of Georgia, Lasha Tordia has responded to the statement released by former prosecutor Otar Partskhaladze, who said earlier today that the conflict between them was initiated by Tordia, who was under serious influence of alcohol.

Lasha Tordia has offered Otar Partskhaladze that they both pass relevant test on alcohol and find out “who was under the influence of what on Friday” – the General Auditor has made this statement in his interview with Rustavi2.

“After two days of thinking, Mr. Otar has chosen a strategy to declare me as an addict who disturbs others. People may say if they have been disturbed by my addiction. The position of this person is intelligible, but I am offering him that we both pass a test on alcohol in order to disclaim all this and thus clarify who was under the influence of what on Friday. If people know me as an addict, then from many people I have heard to what Mr. Otar is addicted – this is drugs and the expression of his face in El Centro that night proves this fact”, - Lasha Tordia said.

He also added that Partskhaladze had gained a property worthy of millions thanks to the Tbilisi City Hall. He also believes that now the prosecutor’s office is mulling over how to save him from this situation.

“They are consulting how to get out of this situation and his statement was the first sign of this attempt”, - Lasha Tordia said.

He believes that in a few days the prosecutor’s office will publish video footage of the incident that occurred to him a year ago in order to prove his addiction to alcohol. He is not against of publishing this footage though he also urges the investigation to publish the footage of the incident of May 12.

The Head of the State Audit office says that former chief prosecutor and his companions assaulted him in a night club El Centro on Shardeni Street, Tbilisi and relates this fact to his work as the general auditor.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has launched the investigation on this fact under article 126 (violence) of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
