Ministry of Internal Affairs has released video testimonies of the former hostages, who were released as a result of the special anti-terrorist operation in the Lopota Ravine of the Kakheti Region. Five young men went on a picnic to the forest in the village of Laphanuri and the police were searching for them for two days. The police launched a special operation for the release of the boys and the operation is still underway as law enforcers say there are armed groups in the ravine, which borders Dagestan sector of the Georgia-Russia border. - "Rustavi2"
The former hostages say they were returning from the forest walking along the river, when about fifteen gunmen stopped them and ordered to follow them. The kidnappers threatened to shoot if they tried to escape.
