This should be seriously treated and impartially investigated – Davit Cramer comments on Omega Group’s case
Director of the McCain Institute for Human Rights and Democracy, Davit Cramer says the Georgian presidential elections 2018 will give answers to many questions for the West.
In his interview with media, Cramer also touched the issue of anti-corruption activities and focused on the series of secretly recorded audio conversations, which raises reasonable suspicions about possible involvement of senior officials in corruption machinations.
Cramer says that Georgia’s investigation agencies should investigate this case and ensure that nobody stands above law.
“Georgia has taken serious steps forwards in its struggle against corruption. There were allegations, which were aired recently on TV and they should be treated seriously and investigated impartially. The people who talk about problems should not be blamed for fascism. It is important that each allegation is proved or rejected. No country is immune to corruption, Georgia is not an exception either, but nobody should stand above law”, - David Cramer has said.
