US Congressman Joe Wilson, co-chair of the Helsinki Commission, claims that Vladimir Putin is using the Chinese Communist Party-controlled Georgian port of Anaklia to ship weapons to Iran. Wilson made the statement at a hearing on Russia's support for Iran at the commission.

He said Georgian Dream is cooperating with Vladimir Putin.

“Iran and Russia are particularly active in Georgia. They support the anti-American Georgian Dream regime. This is an illegitimate regime in Tbilisi. The Georgian Dream’s cooperation with war criminal Putin is clear. Along with the Tehran regime, the Chinese Communist Party controls Anaklia, Georgia’s Black Sea port, as well as the rare earths trade. This has far-reaching consequences,” Wilson said.
