Law enforcement officers seize up to one kilogram of cocaine, Azerbaijani citizen detained

Officers of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia have arrested A.A., a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan, born in 1994, on charges of facilitating the illegal purchase, storage and sale of a particularly large amount of narcotic drugs.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during a search of the defendant's personal and temporary residence, the police seized an extremely large amount of cocaine prepared for sale - up to one kilogram - as evidence.

In addition, according to the agency, law enforcement officers also seized materials necessary for packaging narcotic drugs.

The investigation is underway under Articles 260 and 260-4 of the Criminal Code, which provides for up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
