    Maka Bochorishvili meets with NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia

    Georgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Bochorishvili held a meeting with the newly appointed NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia, Ambassador Kevin Hamilton.

    According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the parties discussed the agenda of NATO-Georgia relations at the meeting.

    “The conversation touched upon the importance of political dialogue and practical cooperation with the Alliance. NATO’s support for strengthening the country’s defense capabilities was emphasized.

    The focus was on the security environment in the region, global challenges, and the importance of peace and stability for Georgia. The conversation also touched upon the situation in the occupied territories of Georgia.

    Kevin Hamilton thanked the Georgian side for its contribution to ensuring common Euro-Atlantic security and expressed the Alliance’s unwavering support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

    As part of the visit, the NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia will hold a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Georgia, Irakli Chikovani, visit the occupation line in the village of Odzisi, and visit the NATO-Georgia Joint Training and Evaluation Center (JTEC),” the information states.
