The United States is absolutely informed about everything that is happening in Georgia, their information is at the highest level, – said Badri Japaridze, one of the leaders of “Lelo – Strong Georgia”, after a meeting with the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Sonata Colter.

“The deep involvement of the United States in the region is very important for our country. Accordingly, we support the efforts that we see from the United States to be more involved, including in the most important economic projects underway in the region. This is very important for Georgia, we fully support this, because the involvement of the United States in the most important infrastructure projects, including the construction of a deep-sea port, is also a security issue. We talked about the need for even greater efforts so that the United States can play the most important role in Georgia that it has played historically, since Georgia gained independence, as a key factor in Georgia’s security and economic development,” Japaridze said. The meeting with the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, which was held at the Tbilisi Marriott, was attended by the leaders of “Lelo – Strong Georgia”, “Gakharia-for Georgia” and “Opposition Alliance”. The meeting was also attended by Acting US Ambassador Alan Purcell.
