Brussels is threatening the right word and trying to close down free media in Georgia - Shalva Papuashvili
The "smeared" propaganda against Georgia is not working, Brussels is threatening the right word and trying to close down free media in Georgia - this was stated by the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili.
“What we have been hearing and seeing recently needs to be seen in context. The decision of the European Parliament is an attempt by various foreign powers to close down free media in Georgia. The fact is, they are very afraid of the truth. They understand that the propaganda that was being spread and millions were being spent against Georgia is not working. This is precisely the continuation of the hostile decision taken by Great Britain, the goal of which is to close down free media. We have been hearing threats for a long time from Ms. Rasa, who is distinguished by her fascist statements towards the Georgian people. They cannot fulfill this threat in any other way, they are trying to create a small crackdown against the media in their narrow circle,” Papuashvili said.
We would like to remind you that the European Parliament suspended the accreditation of the TV companies “Imedi”, “Rustavi 2” and “Postiv” for one year.
