    Police in Adjara Detain Two Foreign Citizens Wanted by Interpol Red Notice

    Officers of the Adjara Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have detained two citizens of the Republic of Turkey wanted by Interpol Red Notice.

    According to the MIA, the detainees were wanted by the law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Turkey on charges of fraud under an Interpol Red Notice.

    “The detainees crossed the Georgian border before they were wanted. As a result of the investigative actions carried out by law enforcement officers, both of them were detained in Batumi at different times. Currently, extradition procedures provided for by law are underway against the detainees,” the MIA said in a statement.
