Mikheil Sarjveladze met with parents of children diagnosed with diabetes
Minister of Health Mikheil Sarjveladze met with parents of children diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. The meeting discussed existing state programs, access to services and future needs. The Ministry of Health reports.
The discussion touched on the availability of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems, provision of insulin supplies, challenges related to diabetes management and support mechanisms. It was noted that consultations with interested parties on individual issues related to the progress of the program will continue, which is necessary for proper planning and management of the process. It was emphasized that taking into account the opinions of beneficiaries is an important contributing factor for the effective implementation of processes.
According to the Minister of Health, the agency continues to actively work towards the development of quality and accessible services for children with diabetes.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister Tea Giorgadze and Deputy Director of the National Health Agency Ekaterine Sharadze.
