Media freedom is worthless to the European Parliament, the European Parliament has become like the Supreme Council of the Soviet Union, media freedom means nothing to them, - Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists.

"We see that European structures are practically completely losing face. Freedom of the media means nothing to them. What Britain started, the European Parliament has now continued. This is completely shameful, the decision they made does not meet any standards. Freedom of the media is worthless to the European Parliament. The European Parliament has become like the Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Union. What we are seeing is a tragic situation. I hope that all this will be corrected in the near future. It is an absolutely Soviet approach that is being demonstrated by specific European politicians. We are not surprised that specific politicians who come up with such initiatives enjoy a very dubious reputation, they have a dubious past. What we see in the European Parliament speaks of total degradation," the Prime Minister said.
