With the support of the National Wine Agency, 14 Georgian wine-producing companies participated in the London Wine Fair 2026 exhibition

The London Wine Fair is an important platform for Georgian producers to find new trade partners, promote wine and increase exports. The exhibition has been held in London since 1981 and is considered one of the most important events in the wine sector. The exhibition is traditionally attended by thousands of guests from different countries of the world, including wine experts, representatives of the wine trade and the media.

The exhibition was attended by Ilia Darchiashvili, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Georgian entrepreneurs also received support from the Embassy of Georgia in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to present their wines at the London Wine Fair 2026 exhibition.

Within the framework of the exhibition, the head of the British company “Swirl Wine Group”, the contractor of the National Wine Agency, Master of Wine Sarah Abbott, held three presentations and tastings of Georgian wine for wine professionals.

The UK is one of the largest importers and consumers of wine in the world, which has been identified as one of the strategic export markets for Georgian wine since 2014. The consistent cooperation of the National Wine Agency with Georgian wine producers has made it possible to create a growing trend in the export of Georgian wine. In January-April 2026, up to 116.5 thousand liters of wine were exported from Georgia to the UK, which is an 18% increase compared to 2025.
