Yesterday's evening was the final chord to show that Georgia really deserves a better opposition - Shalva Papuashvili
Yesterday's evening was the final chord to show that Georgia really deserves a better opposition, - said the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili.
"As they say, no matter how much the plague hides, the plague will not hide itself. This plague did not hide itself either. Yesterday we saw the "National Movement" rally with all its aesthetics, posters, appeals, faces, an event organized by Mikheil Saakashvili and high-ranking officials of his regime, Gvaramia, Bokeria, Vashadze. This is what the Georgian people have seen once again - people who are eager to divide society; while the country is celebrating, to spoil the celebration for people. We saw their attempts to somehow have a radical charge, but they no longer have this charge, it has been lost for a long time. So, yesterday was a verdict for the radical opposition. The several thousand people who gathered around them are exactly the Facebook bubble that presents itself as a society and is actually just a friend list on Facebook. It was also clear from their calls that they wanted to appear on social networks, to show themselves to others. So, it was another important moment for us to see the real face of the radical opposition,” Papuashvili said.
