Zurab Pataradze congratulates Muslim community on Eid al-Adha
The Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Zurab Pataradze, together with the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the region, Tsotne Ananidze, the Mayor of Batumi, Giorgi Tsintsadze, and members of the government, congratulated the Muslim community on Eid al-Adha.
Zurab Pataradze noted that the holiday is a symbol of charity and solidarity, which further strengthens the centuries-old friendship and mutual respect in the region.
“Today, together with our Muslim population, our sisters and brothers, we celebrate the holiday of Kurban Bayram. Kurban Bayram is based on charity, love, solidarity and the values that have always distinguished our country and region. The unity and solidarity that exists in our society is especially appreciated, which was clearly evident in the days of the death of the Catholicos-Patriarch of Georgia - when our Muslim brothers and sisters shared this pain with us and refused to celebrate the solemn celebration of Ramadan Bayram. This once again confirms that our strength lies in standing by each other and mutual respect,” said Zurab Pataradze.
The festive prayer was performed at the Batumi Central Mosque.
