The Prosecutor's Office has filed charges against a private kindergarten teacher in Tbilisi who physically abused a minor student. The Prosecutor's Office has released information about this.
According to them, the charge provides for up to two years of imprisonment as a form and measure of punishment.
"The Tbilisi Prosecutor's Office's Juvenile Affairs Department has charged one person with violence against a minor.
An investigation conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs established that a teacher in a private kindergarten in Tbilisi committed violence against a minor, during which the victim sustained injuries.
The detainee was charged under Article 126, Part 1, Subparagraph "a" of the Criminal Code of Georgia (beating or other violence committed against a minor), which provides for up to two years of imprisonment as a form and measure of punishment.
The Prosecutor's Office will apply to the court within the time limit established by law with a motion to impose imprisonment on the accused as a preventive measure.
