We had a conversation with the President of Ukraine, including the importance of resetting relations in general, the rest depends, of course, on practical steps, - Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists.

According to him, there were specific steps that worsened relations between the authorities.

"You know that there were specific steps that worsened relations between the governments. Of course, this cannot be compared to relations between countries, relations between peoples, which have a solid historical foundation. But because of specific steps, relations between the governments deteriorated - it was the issue of recalling the ambassador, the issue of practically expelling our ambassador, it was the issue of imposing sanctions. The ambassador was recalled from our country because we did not impose sanctions and did not send volunteer fighters to Ukraine with the official consent of the government. After that, you remember the calls of high-ranking officials of the Ukrainian government regarding the opening of a second front. Of course, these were extremely difficult steps that worsened relations between the governments. If there is interest, of course, we are ready in every way to reset relations between our governments," the Prime Minister noted.
