    The founder of the Eurasian Institute, Gulbaat Rtskhiladze, has been arrested on espionage charges.

    "The detainee had systematic contacts of a highly organized conspiratorial nature with representatives of foreign special services. Information was provided both through face-to-face meetings and through electronic means. In addition, periodically, in order to protect the conspiracy and conduct briefings, meetings were held outside the country.

    The person accused of espionage, on the instructions and with the funding of foreign special services, had created information platforms to conduct relevant activities and organized various events throughout the country.

    It is noteworthy that the accused simultaneously cooperated with the special services of two foreign states and carried out parallel intelligence activities.
