Strait of Hormuz Closed to All Ships - Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps

The Strait of Hormuz has been closed to all ships, including oil tankers and commercial vessels, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said in a statement.

The statement said that any ship attempting to enter the strait would be targeted.

The US Central Command denied the reports, saying commercial vessels would continue to operate in the strait.

Earlier, the US launched a new wave of "defensive strikes" on Iran. According to the Central Command, the attacks targeted Iran's military surveillance capabilities, communications systems and air defense facilities.
