I would like to express my gratitude to the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze for accepting my invitation and for the official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic. We believe that the first official visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia to Kyrgyzstan is a historic event, - Kyrgyz President Sadir Japarov stated this at a briefing held with the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze.

According to him, relations between the two countries are based on mutual trust and long-term cooperation, and it is important to maintain regular political dialogue.

“Georgia is an important partner of the Kyrgyz Republic, and our relations are based on mutual trust, mutual respect and long-term cooperation. We believe that the first official visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia to Kyrgyzstan is a historic event. Indeed, in the 34-year history of Kyrgyz-Georgian diplomatic relations, this is the first official visit to Kyrgyzstan by our Georgian friends at such a high level. Today's talks were held in an open, friendly and constructive atmosphere. We comprehensively discussed the most important issues of the bilateral agenda, such as political dialogue, trade and economic relations, investment and sectoral cooperation, as well as the development of cultural and humanitarian ties. Political relations between our states were strong and based on trust, and this is a truly strong basis for cooperation in all areas. In this context, we emphasize the importance of maintaining regular political dialogue, as well as intergovernmental and interparliamentary "Deepening contacts, as well as expanding consultations between our Ministries of Foreign Affairs," the President of the Kyrgyz Republic noted.
