A large-scale attack on Kiev caused a fire on the territory of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, Ukrainian media reported.

“According to operational information, the territory of the Lavra was significantly damaged and a serious fire broke out. The Russians deliberately struck the heart of one of the largest Christian shrines!” - said the head of the Kiev city-military administration, Timur Tkachenko.

According to rescuers, the fire on the roof of the Assumption Cathedral covered an area of ​​​​800 square meters
