Georgian Defense Minister Irakli Chikovani Meets French Counterpart in Paris
Georgian Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Irakli Chikovani met with his French counterpart Catherine Vautrin in Paris.
According to the Georgian Defense Ministry, Irakli Chikovani thanked him for the invitation and noted the importance of partnership and cooperation between states in the context of the difficult situation in the world.
“The Georgian Defense Minister expressed gratitude for France’s unwavering support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
The meeting reviewed the areas of fruitful cooperation between the two countries in the defense sector, including mining, education, and air defense, and discussed future prospects.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Georgian Defense Forces, Chief of the General Staff – Major General Joni Tatunashvili, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of France, Irakli Kurashvili, Military Attaché Colonel Malkhaz Merlan and Colonel Vasil Kopeikin,” the Georgian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
