Trial of 13 people arrested in connection with the events of October 4 postponed for 1 week
The trial of 13 people arrested in connection with the events of October 4 near the Atoneli Palace has been postponed for 1 week.
It turns out that some of the detainees have applied to the prosecutor's office with a request for a plea agreement.
Accordingly, the lawyers have filed a motion to postpone the trial so that the prosecutor's office's position on the plea agreement becomes known.
The hearing will be held on June 24 at 11:00.
For your information, on October 4, 13 people detained in connection with the events that took place near the Atoneli Palace - Kakhaber Kvachantiradze, Simon Makharadze, Gia Toloraia, Avtandil Topchishvili, Mikheil Toloraia, Iuri Lomidze, Giorgi Talakhadze, Davit Giunashvili, Saba Kordzaia, Giorgi Kirvalidze, Koba Epitashvili, Manuchar Mikeladze and Beka Machavariani - were charged under Article 19-222, Part 2, Subparagraph “a” of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which implies an attempt to seize and block objects of strategic and special importance committed as a group. They have also been charged under Part 2 of Article 225 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which involves participation in group violence.
