“I am very sorry that because of me, a worthy lawyer, a person of pride for all of us, Shota Tutberidze, has once again become a completely unjust victim of the regime’s attack.

Of course, it is not new under this regime when a person who tells the truth is attacked, but it is still amazing how easily a person lies when trying to defend themselves. It is pathetic to watch.

I would like to emphasize that I am responsible for every word that Shota said at the briefing. I have no desire to enter into any discussion with the regime.

And finally, friends, as I informed you yesterday, after the briefing, I was contacted by the prison administration. No concrete steps have been taken yet, nor has there been a meeting with the treating doctor, but they promised that there will be. As soon as a real treatment plan is drawn up, I will of course inform the public,” Khoshtaria writes.

For your information, lawyer Shota Tutberidze stated at a press conference that the health condition of one of the leaders of the Coalition for Change, Elene Khoshtaria, has worsened. As he noted, Elene Khoshtaria has severe joint pain, difficulty moving, which is why she is sometimes unable to write and needs crutches to move around.

Later, the Special Penitentiary Service issued a statement, noting that “Elene Khoshtaria is provided with all appropriate conditions and is enjoying all services, including medical services, without any hindrance.”
