Venerable Tamar the Confessor (Marjanishvili, 1869-1936); Commemoration of the Holy Hieromartyr Timothy, Bishop of Prussia and the Holy Father Bassianes, Bishop of Lavra. Martyrs: Alexander and Antonina the Virgin and the Venerable Theophanes of Antioch.

Hieromartyr Timothy, Bishop of the city of Prussia, received the power of miracles from God because of his holiness. Emperor Julian the Apostate imprisoned Timothy, but the high priest continued to preach Christianity there. For this, he was beheaded.

The holy martyrs Alexander and Antonina the Virgin were martyred for their confession of Christianity in 313.

The high priest Bassianus, bishop of Lydia, fell in love with Christianity from childhood and became its follower. Due to his merits, he was elected bishop of the city of Lydia. He spent 39 years in the priesthood and died in 409.
