Merab Turava dismissed from the post of Deputy Minister of Justice of Georgia
Merab Turava has been dismissed from the post of Deputy Minister of Justice of Georgia. The relevant order was published with the signature of the Prime Minister on June 25.
The order states that Merab Turava is dismissed from the post as of June 25, 2026.
Based on the first paragraph of Article 24 of the Law of Georgia “On the Structure, Powers and Procedures of the Government of Georgia”, Merab Turava is dismissed from the post of Deputy Minister of Justice of Georgia as of June 25, 2026”, the order reads.
Merab Turava took up the post of Deputy Minister of Justice in April last year. Before that, he held the position of Chairman of the Constitutional Court for five years. Then his term expired.
