Mr. Fischer was the only ambassador who not only did nothing to develop these relations, but did everything to damage relations between Georgia and the Federal Republic of Germany, which is very sad, we hope that all this will change, - Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told Georgian journalists in Kazakhstan.

According to him, Georgia and Germany have had special relations for years, for which Georgia is grateful to Germany, and unfortunately, Peter Fischer caused great damage to these relations.

"You know that traditionally, special relations have been established between Georgia and Germany. Germany played a very big role, especially in the early 90s, in the development of our country. It was a very difficult period then, and Germany stood by our country, and relations continued like this for years. In principle, Mr. Fischer was the only ambassador who not only did nothing to develop these relations, but did everything to damage relations between Georgia and the Federal Republic of Germany, which is very sad. We hope that all this will turn around, this is very important for our country. I will repeat once again that we are grateful for the very significant support of Germany over the years and we have a great desire to restore the friendly relations that we were accustomed to before. Unfortunately, Mr. Fischer caused great damage to these relations, and we hope that all this will change," the Prime Minister noted.
