"At the meeting, the President once again expressed his condolences over the tragic events in Iran and paid tribute to the memory of the deceased. The meeting discussed the good-neighborly relations between Georgia and Iran and the agenda of bilateral cooperation. The sides emphasized the cooperation between Georgia and Iran based on mutual respect, consideration of each other's sovereignty and national interests.

The President of Georgia thanked the President of Iran for his support for Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

As part of his visit to Tehran, the President of Georgia will attend the funeral ceremony of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei today, in which leaders of the countries of the region, including Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia and various countries of the world, will participate," the information says.
