    Shalva Papuashvili leaves for Serbia

    The Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, has left for Serbia's capital Belgrade on an official visit. The information is being disseminated by the Parliament's press service.

    According to them, within the framework of the visit, the Speaker of the Parliament will participate in the first (constitutive) conference of the Speakers of Parliaments of the EU candidate countries, which is being held at the initiative of the Speakers of the Parliaments of Serbia and Ukraine.

    "The goal of the conference is to establish a regular and effective format of parliamentary speakers, which will deepen parliamentary dialogue between candidate countries, exchange information, coordinate positions and provide mutual support in the process of integration into the European Union.

    Within the framework of the conference, Shalva Papuashvili will address the participants and participate in working sessions.

    At the end of the conference, the participants will adopt a joint statement," the information states.
