    54 foreign citizens expelled from Georgia

    Employees of the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, in close coordination with the relevant units of the Ministry, have expelled 54 foreign citizens from Georgia as a result of the measures taken in recent days.

    According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of the complex measures taken by the Migration Department, a total of 54 citizens of Turkey, Turkmenistan, Russia, India, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Pakistan, Nigeria, Egypt, the Philippines and other states were expelled from the country.

    In accordance with the current legislation, the expelled persons were banned from entering the country.

    The fight against illegal migration is one of the priority directions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to the latest statistical data, 2,090 illegal migrants have already been expelled from the country this year, including: 232 in January, 312 in February, 360 in March, 401 in April, 340 in May, and 391 in June.
