“Collective Nazis” and “Joe Wilsons” Resolutions Are Not Worth a Cent – Archil Gorduladze
According to Archil Gorduladze, a member of the parliamentary majority, the so-called “Collective Nazis” and “Joe Wilsons” resolutions “are not worth a single euro, a single dollar, or a single cent,” because, in his opinion, they are “absolutely saturated with lies.”
According to Gorduladze, the authors of the aforementioned resolutions refer to as political prisoners those individuals who, according to him, were exposed or convicted of attempting to violently overthrow the country, participated in violent protests, attempted to set law enforcement officers on fire, block state institutions, and set fire to the parliament building.
According to him, the authors of the resolutions demand the repeal of the Law “On Family Values and Protection of Minors,” which, according to Gorduladze, means “allowing LGBT propaganda” in schools and kindergartens.
Gorduladze also stated that they demand the repeal of the “Transparency Law,” despite the fact that, according to him, the FARA law in force in the US is much stricter and there are initiatives to further tighten this law.
"To sum it up, these people are only trying to attack the Georgian state, the Georgian people and their democratic choice with resolutions. They allow themselves to say that they know better than the Georgian society what is best for the future of Georgia. And finally, they directly wrote in the resolution that the church is under Russian influence. This is an unheard of fact. With such statements, the public's trust in European structures and Western institutions in general is decreasing, and they have themselves to blame for this," said Archil Gorduladze.
