National Food Agency reveals illegal production of meat products in the village of Marani, Abasha Municipality
Inspectors of the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region of the National Food Agency, during an unscheduled inspection, revealed illegal production of meat and meat products. The National Food Agency reports this.
According to the FSA, the entrepreneur was fined and the production process was suspended until registration.
"A natural person N.T. (address: Abasha, village Marani) was engaged in the production and sale of meat and meat products (kupat) without registration in the Register of Economic Activities and mandatory recognition by the National Food Agency, including using online platforms.
The inspection revealed other critical inconsistencies and meat of unknown origin
The National Food Agency calls on business operators to carry out their activities in compliance with the legislation and established food safety requirements," the National Food Agency said in a statement.
