A US missile has hit the perimeter of the Bushehr nuclear power plant, Sky News reported, citing Iranian state media.

According to media reports, the US carried out strikes on several locations in Bushehr province. According to reports, explosions were heard in the province in the morning.

Earlier, in March of this year, the Bushehr nuclear facility was the target of joint US and Israeli strikes. At that time, the International Atomic Energy Agency warned the parties that such attacks could cause a "large-scale radiological accident." This is Iran's first nuclear power plant, which opened in 2011 and operates with uranium produced in Russia.

Iran responds to attacks on US military bases in the Persian Gulf. According to Sky News, Jordan has been on alert after missiles fired from Iran were detected in the country’s airspace.

A Jordanian government spokesman said all missiles had been intercepted. He added that Jordan’s armed forces were on full alert and would deal with any threat.
