Ayatollah Ali Khamenei buried at Imam Reza shrine in Mashhad

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was buried at the Imam Reza shrine in his hometown of Mashhad, CNN reported.

The TV station reported that people gathered in the streets of Mashhad in northeastern Iran waving Iranian flags, some holding placards with threatening inscriptions against US President Donald Trump.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's funeral, which lasted six days, was attended by a large number of people.

It is noteworthy that Iran's new Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's son, Mojtaba Khamenei, did not appear publicly at the funeral ceremony.
