Extraction of the Holy Parts of the Martyrs and Miracle-Workers Cyrus and John (412); Saint Paul the Healer; The Icon of the Mother of God “Three-Handed” (VIII).

The Extraction of the Holy and Miracle-Workers, the Silverless Cyrus and John, took place in 412 from the city of Konopa, near Alexandria, to the nearest village of Manufini.

Saint Paul the Healer was a citizen of the city of Corinth. In his youth, he was ordained a monk in one of the monasteries, where he worked selflessly and became an experienced hermit.

Once, a woman, possessed by demonic hatred, cursed the saint. He brought a newborn baby and announced that its father was the Monk Paul. The nun listened to this with obedience and joy and adopted the child. When the saint was rebuked for violating the monastic rule, Paul said: “Brothers, let us ask the baby who his true father is!” The child pointed his finger at the blacksmith and said: “Look, this is my father, not the Monk Paul.” Seeing this miracle, the people bowed their heads in humility to Paul and asked for forgiveness. From then on, God gave Paul the power to heal. The Monk Paul died at the age of about seventy.
