US military launches new wave of strikes against Iran

US military forces have successfully launched another wave of strikes against Iran, the US Central Command said in a statement.

“US forces, including fighter jets, drones and warships, used precision munitions to strike dozens of Iranian military targets, including coastal surveillance and air defense facilities, military logistics infrastructure and maritime capabilities,” CENTCOM said in a post on X.

The US Central Command did not provide further details on the number of strikes, but said that US forces “hold Iran responsible for recent attacks on commercial vessels.”
