US President Donald Trump said that the strikes on Iran were carried out in honor of the American soldiers who died in Jordan and Iraq.

"We feel very bad, but, you know, these great people, great patriots are out there fighting to prevent Iran from having nuclear weapons. Iran has been hit very hard, they've lost almost everything militarily. They've got very little left. They've got a certain number of missiles, a certain number of drones. We control the Strait. So we'll see what happens. We hit them very hard at night. We did it in honor of three great patriots," Donald Trump said in a statement to reporters.
