I believe that the current administration, under the leadership of President Trump, has the power to easily reverse these unjust decisions that were against the Georgian state and the Georgian people - Kakha Kaladze

According to the statement of the Mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze, he positively assesses the response letter of President Donald Trump to the Prime Minister of Georgia and believes that the new US administration has the power to easily reverse the unjust decisions taken by the previous administration against the Georgian state.

As Kakha Kaladze told journalists, the Georgian government is ready and absolutely transparent for friendship and partnership.

“We evaluate the aforementioned letter positively. We have repeatedly made statements that the Georgian government is ready to start relations with a new leaf. We are absolutely transparent, we are ready for friendship, for partnership. The unfair attitude that was observed towards Georgia under the previous administration was categorically unacceptable to us. I am referring to the sanctions that were imposed without any explanation and there was no basis for imposing these sanctions. It was simply done for the sake of blackmail and threats. I think that the current administration, under the leadership of President Trump, has the power to very easily change these unfair decisions that were against the Georgian state and the Georgian people. We are ready for friendship, for cooperation. When we talk about partnership, strategic relations, of course, the interests of both countries and both peoples, both the American and the Georgian people, must be protected,” said Kakha Kaladze.

For your information, US President Donald Trump sent a letter to Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, thanking him for his congratulations on the 250th anniversary of American independence. In addition, Trump noted in the letter: "I look forward to strengthening our cooperation so that together we can move towards a more secure, prosperous, and peaceful future."
