The United States has carried out another airstrike on Iran
According to the US Central Command (CENTCOM), it carried out another airstrike on Iran on July 20.
According to CENTCOM, US forces attacked Iranian military command centers, naval capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, as well as air defense systems. According to the agency, the aim of the operation was to reduce Iran's capabilities so that it could no longer continue to attack commercial vessels moving through the Strait of Hormuz.
According to the Central Command, the movement of commercial vessels in the internationally important maritime corridor continues uninterrupted. According to CENTCOM, since the beginning of May, US forces have facilitated the safe transit of approximately 900 commercial vessels and 450 million barrels of crude oil.
The agency says that US military forces in the region remain on high alert and will hold Iran accountable for any unprovoked aggression directed against civilian seafarers and commercial vessels exercising the right of freedom of navigation.
