    Infrastructure projects begin in the disaster-hit village of Erisimedi in Sighnaghi

    Reconstruction and infrastructure projects will be implemented in stages in the disaster-hit village of Erisimedi in Sighnaghi Municipality.

    First Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Ilia Begiashvili, Director General of Land Reclamation Gigla Tamazashvili, Deputy Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund David Kvinikadze and local government representatives met with the village population, listened to their needs and provided information about the planned works.

    The meeting discussed the current situation in the village after the flood caused by the disaster significantly damaged Erisimedi. As a result of the flood, residential houses, yards and the village infrastructure were flooded.

    Government representatives heard directly from the population about the existing needs and discussed in detail the measures that will be implemented for the restoration and development of the village.

    At the meeting, the population was provided with information about planned projects, including the construction of a new school and kindergarten, and other infrastructure projects.

    Government representatives noted that supporting the affected population and fully restoring the infrastructure of Erisimedi is one of the main priorities of the state. According to them, the planned projects will be implemented in stages, which will create an important prerequisite for the safety and development of the village.
