More than 16 kilograms of various drugs seized, three people arrested

Officers of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested three people on charges of facilitating the illegal purchase, storage and sale of a particularly large amount of narcotics.

The investigation revealed that the defendants were involved in criminal schemes for the sale of narcotics, in particular, they placed narcotics in specific places for the purpose of further sale through various Internet applications and social networks.

As a result of searching the defendants' personal and residential homes, as well as from various places, law enforcement officers seized as evidence a particularly large amount of narcotics prepared for sale, including: up to 14 kilograms of dried "marijuana", up to one kilogram of "hashish", up to one kilogram of a new psychoactive substance and "methadone".

Among the detainees is a person, in order to expose him, law enforcement officers replaced a parcel sent to his name and seized a large amount of narcotics as evidence.

As a result of the investigative actions, the police also seized materials necessary for packaging narcotics.

The investigation is underway under Articles 260 and 260-4 of the Criminal Code, which provides for up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
