Two people arrested in Tbilisi on charges of violent robbery

Officers of the Old Tbilisi Main Division of the Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, by prior agreement, arrested two people, including one minor, on charges of violent robbery committed by a group. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.

According to the agency, the investigation established that the accused physically assaulted two citizens in Tbilisi, stole expensive mobile phones and fled the scene.

“As a result of the conducted operational measures and investigative actions, law enforcement officers arrested the perpetrators as defendants.

The investigation is underway under Article 178 of the Criminal Code, which provides for imprisonment for a term of up to eight years,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a statement.
