12 killed in massive attack on Kiev

12 people were killed in a massive attack on Kiev, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said.

According to him, most of the dead are in the Solomensky district, where a missile hit a nine-story residential building. The upper floors of the building collapsed. The explosion also damaged windows in four buildings adjacent to the residential building.

According to Klitschko, a school and a children's hospital building were damaged in the Solomensky district. Windows were broken in a medical facility, and cars were burned on its territory.

In the Darnytsky district, non-residential and warehouse premises were damaged. In the Svyatoshyn district, damage was observed to buildings in the territory of non-residential developments. According to Klitschko, warehouses were also burned in the district.

The Russian Defense Ministry says a strike was carried out in Kiev on a Fire Point company factory that produces components for attack drones and Flamingo cruise missiles.

The Russian military said the strike also targeted the Antonov company, which they say produces the Lute long-range drone.
