    85 Foreign Citizens Deported from Georgia

    Employees of the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in close coordination with the relevant units of the Ministry, have deported 85 foreign citizens from Georgia in recent days.

    As a result of the complex measures taken by the Migration Department, 85 citizens of Turkey, India, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Russia, Egypt, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Ethiopia, Jordan, Cuba, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Pakistan, Thailand, the Philippines and other countries were deported from the country.

    In accordance with the current legislation, the deported persons were banned from entering the country.

    During the current year, 2,726 illegal aliens have already been expelled from Georgia by the Migration Department, which is twice the total figure for last year.
