Transfer of the relics of the Great Martyr Queen Ketevan from Persia.

Commemoration of the Prophet Samuel (11th century BC). Martyrs: Sevir, Memnon and 37 martyrs with them (304).

The Prophet Samuel was the 15th and last judge of Israel. He lived in 1146 BC. At the age of 3, his mother gave Samuel to the high priest Elijah, who was also the judge of Israel. At the age of 12, it was revealed to the prophet that God would punish Elijah, who could not restrain his impure children.

The prophecy came true - the Philistines killed 3,000 Israelites. Among them were the two sons of the high priest, who were victorious and took possession of the Ark of God. Upon hearing this, Elijah, overcome by grief, fell from his throne, broke his neck, and died.

After Elijah's death, Samuel became the judge of Israel. During his time, the Ark of God was returned by the Philistines themselves.

The holy martyrs Severus, Memnon, and 37 martyrs with them were tortured during the reign of Emperor Diocletian.
