The difference between a stateless national agency and a state-minded government is most clearly seen in such statements. “We hate Abkhazians and nothing helps” - says the convicted former president, who renounced his Georgian citizenship due to taking up a position in a foreign country and who still does not give up the political rhetoric that has repeatedly brought confrontation, strife and the most serious consequences to our country, - the leader of the parliamentary majority, Irakli Kirtskhalia, wrote about this on social networks.

“We will never accept the idea that Georgians and Abkhazians “hate” each other and “nothing helps” with this. We believe that despite the accumulated pain, war and artificially deepened alienation over decades, reconciliation is possible. Moreover, there is no other way to peacefully unify Georgia.

This is exactly what I spoke about at the opening of the autumn session – about peace, de-occupation, the unification of the country and the responsibility that the government has before its own people and future generations. And what do we see in response?

As soon as we start talking about peace, reconciliation of Georgians and Abkhazians and a common future in a united state, the so-called political force and the agency network associated with it immediately become active, for which constant confrontation is the only form of existence.

It is on such issues that the political lustration of the agency is best done, when on one side there is a state that builds its future on peace, national interests and unification, and on the other side there are people who prove to the society that reconciliation between Georgians and Abkhazians is impossible and hatred of each other is an eternal sentence. We will not accept this sentence.

Georgians, Abkhazians and Ossetians have a common homeland and a common future. We must unite to build a strong, sovereign and peaceful state, where neither internal nor external forces will be able to incite enmity, hatred and confrontation between us.

This goal is served by our peace policy, all our steps and the vision of the de-occupation and unification of our country.

They can talk about hatred. We will work for reconciliation. They can want to build walls between Georgians and Abkhazians. "We will tear down these walls with peace, development and unity. This is the difference between their politics and our vision of the state," Irakli Kirtskhalia wrote.
