Foreign citizen wanted under Interpol Red Notice arrested in Batumi

As a result of a joint operation, officers of the Adjara Main Division of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Counter-Terrorism Center of the State Security Service arrested a citizen of the Republic of Turkey wanted under Interpol Red Notice.

The detainee was wanted for committing a serious drug crime at the request of Turkish law enforcement agencies.

As a result of the investigative actions conducted by law enforcement officers, the wanted person was arrested in Batumi.

Currently, extradition procedures provided for by law are underway against the detainee.
