Failed projects are the result of incompetence and corruption, all are connected to officials and high-ranking officials of the “Anti-Georgian Dream” - Irakli Kupradze

According to the Secretary General of “Lelo-Strong Georgia”, Irakli Kupradze, failed state projects in the regions are “the result of improper competence and corruption”, and the embezzlement of state funds, according to his assessment, is of a systemic nature.

As Kupradze stated, the same companies, which, according to him, have not completed many projects in the past, are still being awarded state tenders.

“The story of the regions is simple - the “Anti-Georgian Dream” is robbing the population of Georgia. All those failed projects are the result of incompetence and corruption. Not 3.6 million GEL, but tens of millions of GEL are being robbed every month in the form of failed projects. All these failed projects are connected to the officials and high-ranking officials of the “Anti-Georgian Dream”. These companies are donors to the “Georgian Dream” and this is how the plunder of the Georgian population is taking place,” said Kupradze.

He also said that companies in various municipalities and regions of Georgia, which, according to his assessment, have had many unfulfilled projects and have embezzled tens of millions of GEL, are still being awarded new state projects and tenders.

“This is yet another proof that the Georgian population is being plundered. No one believes that the “Georgian Dream” and its officials did not receive a share of this plunder. There is no other argument why you can give various tenders to corrupt, blackened, and robber companies and harm the public and public interest,” Irakli Kupradze said.

For information, as BPN writes, according to the State Procurement Agency, a total of 41 state procurement contracts were not fulfilled in Georgia in the first eight months of 2026. The total value of unfulfilled projects from January to August of this year amounted to 3,602,617 GEL.
